 Richard King BA MA, Director of Operations

Richard King is Concordis’ Director of Operations and Deputy Chief Executive. He is an experienced mediator accredited by the UK Centre for Effective Dispute Resolution. Before taking up his post with Concordis he chaired many Concordis consultations throughout our programmes in Sudan. In 2009 he completed with distinction a Masters in International Peace and Security at King’s College, London, in which he focussed on diplomacy, conflict prevention and peace building and completed a thesis related to the conflict in Darfur. Before joining Concordis Richard worked as a lawyer for over 30 years and he combines his skills as a mediator with exceptional analytical ability.

 

 

Baroness Caroline Cox
Baroness (Caroline) Cox was created a Life Peer in 1982 for her contributions to education and has served as a Deputy Speaker of the House of Lords from 1985 to 2005. Lady Cox now sits in the Lords as a crossbencher and is a frequent contributor to Lords debates on Sudan, India, Nigeria, Uganda, and Burma.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Proffesor Skeldon, Professorial Fellow in Geography at University of Sussex

Ronald Skeldon is a Professorial Fellow in the Department of Geography in the School of Global Studies. From 1 June 2009, he was seconded 40 per cent time to the Department for International Development (DfID) as a Senior Research Fellow. He completed his Ph.D. at the University of Toronto, with a dissertation on Migration in a Peasant Society: the Example of Cuzco, Peru. He worked in the Papua New Guinea Institute for Applied Social and Economic Research, the University of Hong Kong, the United Nations organizations. He joined the University of Sussex in October 2000.

He has continued to work as a consultant to international organizations, including the International Organization for Migration (IOM), the International Labour Organization (ILO), the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) the United Nations Population Division and the Social Science Research Council in New York.
