Dr Kennedy Amone-P’Olak, a THRiVE post-doctoral fellow from the University of Gulu in Uganda  is spearheading an innovative study into the effects of war on the mental health of young people in Uganda. Dr Amone-P’Olak, who is being mentored by researchers at the Department of Psychiatry in Cambridge,explained the details of his study to an audience at the Centre of African Studies on Wednesday 2nd November 2011.

Cambridge launches a yearlong exploration of Global Health

Global Health visionary, Dr Peter Singer, together with Cambridge organisations, explores the importance of building innovative partnerships to tackle the most pressing health problems in the world today.
The event, entitled “Prioritising Partnerships for Global Health”, launches the Cambridge Global Health Year (#CamGlobalHealth) on 21 October at Churchill College, University of Cambridge.
