Humanitarian Centre Projects Officer

The Humanitarian Centre is recruiting for a Projects Officer to start in March 2011.

Based in                               Cambridge, UK

Salary                                  £18 – 20k starting salary, depending on experience

Contract length                     1 year (extendable subject to funding)

The Humanitarian Centre is a unique and growing network of Cambridge individuals and organisations engaged in international relief and development. Established in 2005, it increases Cambridge’s impact in international development by promoting relationships and coordination between a range of academic, NGO and private sector partners.

At the heart of the Humanitarian Centre’s expansion are a series of themed years that provide focus to our networking and coordination. The Projects Officer role is concerned with the planning and implementation of these themes.

For this new post you must be confident, persuasive, entrepreneurial and an excellent networker with strong organisational skills. Engaging with key development players, you must be able to inspire, lead and manage a broad spectrum of people from students to eminent academics and practitioners.
